2 OLD & LARGE VENETIAN Cornaline D'Aleppo TRADE BEADSor HUDSON BAY TRADE BEADS IN AMERICAOR WHITE HEART TUBULAR JUMBOSWOUND BEADS crafted in Italythese are from the African TradeSize: 26mm X 12mm & 22mm X 12mmTubular Yellow CoresCherished Then by native peoples & cherished Now by white people too.Trade Beads of this species are some of the oldest seenfrom throughout the times of Empire Building otherwise known as stealing. to say the least.Condition: As Photos show & described:Both beads have dings long ago worn smooth from skin contact. Both beads have deep internal cracks affecting nothing . One cannot feel them at all. Both beads have good to see wear at the holes indicating having been worn a long time. Both beads have the most wonderful skin worn patina that always delights me to see. One bead has a "bruise" (not quite a ding) that caused the red glass to have a most unique cats-eye effect when hit by the light. The long ago wearer(s) of this particular bead likely delighted in this characteristic.These are 2 fine old beads with lots of native Africa in & about them.Just the kind of beads that got me interested in trade beads in the first place.(Check out what these are offered for by the strand . & note the condition.)*Way old & not reproductions.As with any handmade art, there may be "imperfections" that make art "one of a
