Some have visual blemishes but play back NM, in this case I will give a grade of NM-. Some look and play NM, in this case I give a NM- grade as well. The reason is because grading can be preferential. Also, you may see a grade of VG++ or VG--, in these cases it is because it is that degree of preference that is the deciding factor.
