You are bidding on a rare, original, British, promotional pressbook from 1927 of the film, "The Tragic Hour The Love Story of Beatrice Cenci", A Pittaluga Film Distributed by Gaumont. The movie starred Maria Jacobini as Beatrice Cenci. The film was directed by Count Baldassare Negroni. This press book is tall. It measures 17 1/2 inches in heighth and 9 inches in width. The pressbook has two pages inside. These inside pages are excellent. Each of the pages, (four sides), have awesome photos of scenes from the film. The first page also has the cast list, called, "The Players". The second and third sides open in the middle to make a nice spread. , "THE STORY", is encircled by photos. The cover is in good, if not very good conditon, with light, geneal wear. The front cover has a portrait of a henchman with axe lifted, about ready to chop off a damsel's head. The damsel is laying on a chopping block. Watching this, in the portrait, are figures of soldiers, hooded spectres, and two, what appear to be, fellows of higher educational status. T is a three inch area at the top right edge of slight curling and some light creases. The pressbook has been stapled twice at the left edge.
