Offered for sale is Item No. 1455 KARUNA RETIRED ~ PRE-E ~ #1491 A noted actress whose talent for creative expression extends beyond film, artist Ali MacGraw saw the Horse as the perfect symbol of Man's connection to the Animal world. "I chose to make a fantasy creature inspired by the fabulous horses of Central and Far-away Asia. I have called her 'Karuna,' which is Sanskrit for Compassion. Compassion for all sentient beings, great and small, all over the world." With Karuna, Ali demonstrates that her talent and creativity extend far beyond the silver screen. This beautiful pony, the embodiment of peace and compassion, is RETIRED and no longer available from the manufacturer. It is a PRE FIRST EDITION (no 1E, 2E, etc) numbered 1491! It is BRAND NEW in MINT condition, and comes in its original box with hang tag and styrofoam. Stored since purchase in a SMOKE FREE HOME, this pony has only been removed from its box to take the photos and for inspection. Note for authenticity that t is no item number on the back side of the hang tag. The PRE-E ponies are the earliest issues from the Trail, and are the ULTIMATE FIND for the serious collector!
