Offered for sale is Item No. 1460 RETIRED ~ 1E / 7117 ~ NO RESERVE Childhood memories of western trips along the historic Route 66 imprinted images of diners, motels, gas stations and tourist attractions, which later became part of Americana painter Ellen Sokoloff's artistic repertoire. Her artwork preserves scenes from and earlier time in our country's history, a time in her words, "Before franchises took over and closed down many of the 'Mom and Pop' family-owned businesses. A time when t was comfort found in friendly eating establishments, and homey motels beckoned the tourist to stay awhile." With the Route 66 Horse, she has captured the spirit of the "Mother Road" on her Painted Pony. This pony is RETIRED and no longer available from the manufacturer. It is a FIRST EDITION numbered 7117! It is brand new , MINT , in its original box with hang tag, bag, and styrofoam. We have stored this pony since purchase in a SMOKE FREE HOME, and have only removed it from its box to take the photos and for inspection. Please note: One side of the box has the word "done" written on it in black marker, and the front cover of the hang tag is creased from the way it was originally packaged.
