The gentleman lived in the West Midlands, being employed as an engineer with the Timken bearing factory. None of the negatives have been captioned by the photographer, so any description of the subject entered below is entirely as a result of my careful scrutiny of the negative under high magnification for any clues that may help to identify the subject and/or the location. Having looked at all the negatives my best guess for when they were taken would be during the period late-1950s to early-1960s. I have scanned each of the 75 negatives of trams at a fairly high resolution but the sharpness and clarity of the image may improve if professionally produced.
