ITEM DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is a complete 192 Card / 24 Sticker MASTER SET of Transformers Generation 1 (G1) Action Cards w/ Motto Stickers that were officially licensed by Hasbro and released by Milton Bradley in 1985. Also included with this set are all 54 of 54 known error/variant cards -- many of which are extremely rare! I have discovered an additional error/variant card that has not been documented anywhere that I am aware of . This card is number 176 "Jetfire, The Protector" with only 7 lines of text on the back of the card as opposed to the corrected version with 8 lines of text on the back (as seen in the last two pictures). This additional, extremely RARE variant card is also included in this auction!!! The 24 sticker set includes the nearly impossible to find Skywarp Motto Sticker! The full-color picture cards in this set depict various Autobots and Decepticons from the first season of the original 1980's Transformers cartoons. The full-color stickers in this set depict some of these same Autobots and Decepticons with their respective Motto from their Tech Specs. The following is a breakdown of the cards and stickers in this set:
Cards 1-41: Autobot Robots (Autobot Box Art on front, complete Tech Spec Data on back) Cards 42-95: Transformers In Action (Cartoon Scenes from the "More Than Meets The Eye" episodes on front, scene details on back) Card 96: Checklist for Cards 1-96 Cards 97-122: Decepticon Robots (Decepticon Box Art on front, complete Tech Spec Data on back) Cards 123-191: Transformers In Action (Cartoon Scenes from the "More Than Meets The Eye", "War Of The Dinobots", "Heavy Metal War", and "A Plague Of Insecticons" episodes on front, scene details on back) Card 192: Checklist for Cards 97-192 Autobot Motto Stickers (13) -- Optimus Prime, Jazz, Tracks, Inferno, Smokescreen, Sideswipe, Red Alert, Wheeljack, Prowl, Twin Twist, Slag, Grimlock, and Swoop Decepticon Motto Stickers (11) -- Megatron, Starscream, Dirge, Thrust, Skywarp , Soundwave, Rumble, Ravage, Laserbeak, Frenzy, and Long Haul This vintage card/sticker set is highly sought after and a definite must have for dedicated Transformers collectors and fans. These cards were sold with only 8 cards (and 1 Motto Sticker) per pack at about $0.59 to $1.00 for each pack (in 1985) making it rather difficult and expensive to complete a full 192 card set, much less find all of the error/variant cards known to exist. Also please note that this U.S. card set is different than the set that was released in Australia which only had 100 cards and different card numbering. CONDITION: These cards and stickers are in excellent, pack fresh condition and free from bends or notable wear with the exception of the following 4 cards: Card 11 Sideswipe, yellow background -- very minor yellowing on the back of the card Card 108 Laserbeak, dark blue background on bottom half, light blue background on top half -- minor edge wear, very minor yellowing on the back of the card Card 122 Shockwave, yellow background with gun/arm pointed to left side -- very minor yellowing on the back of the card Card 122 Shockwave, blue background with gun/arm pointed to left side -- some yellowing on the back of the card Both checklists are completely unmarked. All of these cards and stickers were placed/stored in new Ultra Pro card pages and these pages are included with this auction. Sorry but this auction does not include any duplicate cards, different error/variation cards than what are pictured, or different Motto Stickers than what are pictured.
