Three guitarists (two who also sing) and a black bongo player, playing folksongs with occasional calypso flair, with at least one original song.
T is absolutely nothing on the web about this record or this group. No reference to its existence anyw.. a true unknown little gem of folk music from nearly 50 years ago!

This copy is signed "To Betsy with Love - The Travelers" with autographs by Fred Corbett and Gerry "Dean" French.
liner notes from the front cover :
None of the TRAVELERS was discovered hiding under a rock in Peru, none has ever been a truck-driver, and none has sideburns. The beginning was modest - a "singing for pleasure" - using the efforts of the leader, Dean French and the gifted bongoist, Vic Sterling. The two gave concerts at The Cambridge School of Weston w their popularity gave rise to the need for adding the fine first tenor of Fred Corbett, and the close second guitar work of John Martin. The four, managed by Earle Macgillivray, met with a success which suggested issuing a recording. This is that record.
Of the nine songs presented, three deserve special mention. "Shadows", a fast calypso, was written by Dean French and arranged by French and Martin. "Brandy", a South African veld song, is sung in an arrangement by French. The record's claim to a "new sound in music" can be heard in "South Wind", in which Vic Stirling stirs up the breeze using a hairbrush on the side of the bongos!
