Two ($2) Treasury Note – series of 1891 This note is over 100 Years old! You are bidding on a series of 1891 $2 Treasury note. Treasury notes were also sometimes called “Coin Notes” because each note stated “redeemable in coin”. I would grade this note as one in Fine condition. It is well worn but complete, free of holes with still a hint of crispness to the paper. The signatures are Tillman – Morgan, the serial number is B8068891, and the seal is red. A problem free note for the grade, I’ll start the bidding at .99 cents with no reserve. KL# 144 FR# 357 The note you see is the note you are bidding on. The picture was taken with my digital camera without any adjustment for color or contrast. Of interest : The portrait on the note is of James Birdseye McPherson (November 14, 1828 – July 22, 1864) was a career United States Army officer who served as a General in the Union Army during the American Civil War . He was killed at the Battle of Atlanta and was the highest ranking Union officer killed during the conflict. [1] Taken from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia No Reserve – Good Luck! (If t is every a question or problem with any sale I would appreciate the opportunity to correct it – my email is ) Grading: I use Photo Grade as my key reference for circulated coins and the Official A.N.A. Grading Standards for United States Coins. I like to include the grade in all my auctions because I think it’s essential to determine value. Grading is an opinion of which we are all entitled, you must be the final judge. Please feel free to review my feedback for what others have said about me. I will not use the “Buy it now” form of sale; I prefer to let all my sales go through the normal auction style process.
