This listing is for an authentic vintage match safe or match holder from World War I. This would have held a box of penny matches. It is made of heavy bronze and has an applied French coin and half of a bullet end. It appears to be hand made and would fall into the Trench Art Category. It measures 13/16" x 1-9/16" x 2-3/8". This is a vintage used item, and is in as found condition. It shows some age and/or use wear, and may need some cleaning. T is a fair amount of scratching on coin face. Holder is otherwise in good used condition. T are no chips, cracks, batters, breaks, or repairs. This World War I Trench Art match holder is absolutely old and authentic, and sells with no reserve.
