Slag Glass... or Marbled Glass as some collectors like to call it... also has another older âeoenameâe. In early times... when the work day came to an end... the glass workers would use up any left-over bits of glass... regardless of itâe(tm)s color... so as not to waste it. The resulting pieces were called... âeoeend of day glassâe. This is a very unique piece of Slag Glass incorporating three distinct glass colors in its make-up. The most abundant color is a translucent Ruby Red... through which runs rivulets of Milk White... and Egg Yoke Yellow... in well-defined swirls and with good separation between the colors. The swirls in both the lid and the base are just super... with each having that very highly sought after âeoetailâe at the end of the swirls. The handle on the cover is a Sea Shell... and the three feet are stylized dolphins with their tails extending up along the sides read more
