Trilobite (Pachyphacops) - Location: Coal County¸ Oklahoma. we have a very well preserved and sharp specimen of the trilobite Pachyphacops. The specimen is very well preserved and the trilobite is in a 'rolled-up' position which is a common position for the various species of phacops (they rolled up into a 'ball' when threatened). Paciphacops raymondi - Phacopina. This is a fossil from the famous Lower Devonian Haragan Formation¸ Coal Co.¸ Oklahoma. It is typified by the extremely inflated glabella which protrudes forward over the anterior edge of the cephalon. The Devonian is a geological period of the Paleozoic era spanning from roughly 415 to 360 million years ago.
