TRILOGY sterling (c.1969) by Gorham You are bidding on a Sterling Silver set of flatware for eight plus serving pieces. Each place setting consists of Knife, Salad Fork, Dinner Fork, and Two Teaspoons. That makes it a 5 piece place setting. It also includes a Meat Fork and Sugar Spoon (pictured separately). There is over 44 troy ounces of Sterling Silver not even including the Sterling in the knives. The Trilogy pattern was made between 1969 and 1991 by Gorham. If this set was put together from one of the replacement pattern suppliers you would be paying close to $2,000.00! The silver scrap content of this set on the listing date was over $1,000.00!!!!! A great way to have a utilitarian silver investment. Why purchase bullion coins or bars and stick them in a safe deposit box when you can enjoy your investment as it appreciates in value.
