Greetings, As you can see from the pictures, up for auction is a super example of the Tru-Bal Battle Blade designed by Harry K. McEvoy . A terrific picture of the Tru-Bal Battle knife can be seen in Mike Silvey's book KNIVES of the United States Military in VIETNAM on page 121. The blade length to the handle is 7 3/8 inches; the tang travels the entire length of the handle and is visible at the butt of the knife. The overall length is 11 5/8 inches. The handle and rivets are in great condition. The black leather 8 rivet knife sheath is in nice condition and has leather tie laces attached. T ru-Bal knives are some of the finest knives made and are very much sought after. The rare Parsons Fighting Knife is not included with this auction; it is for size comparison purposes only. I have had this Tru-Bal Battle Blade in my military knife collection for a number of years. The Tru-Bal Battle Blade was a private purchase knife that some of our soldiers carried. This Tru-Bal fighting knife would really be a great addition to the serious Vietnam Era knife collector Please look at my other Vietnam Era auctions.
