Tube Of Mined Uranium Ore Samples. Excellent Geiger Counter Test Source. A magnified picture is added to show sampling of what is in tubes, but tubes vary greatly and were collected in anything available.Tubes all contain vintage mined ore that was collected by a man in the 50s and sold to toy companies. The tubes vary and not all have original labeling. When tubes are not labeled have glued a printed warning label to blank tubes to be in shipping and Ebay rule compliance. Each tube(s) will contain approx 3 grams of pure raw uranium ore as mined in Colo. The tubes are filled with raw metallic Uranium Ore and very little impurities. These make great collectables and are excellent for calibration of a geiger counter as a test source. These were found in the mans shed who use to be in charge of mining operations after he passed on. These were mined in his early years and sold to many toy companies who sold these in the 50s and 60s vintage kits while he worked as a mine safety inspector and collected them. Uranium Ore has a very high Alpha emission, with a lower Beta, and a lower Gamma, this allows quick verifacation of a Geiger Counters full operating abilities.
