Exceptional value - reduced from $55, this month only ...
Tudor ladies' clothing was secured by lavish bronze hooks like this one, ideally suited to wear now as a pendant or bracelet charm. Look closely and you'll see how one end was stitched to a garment, while the opposite end hooked to the garment's other side. Dating to the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (English Renaissance Period), this prettily pierced and detailed item was acquired from a leading English antiquities dealer and measures 1" x 5/8". With oxidation, its hook has fused to the back to form a closed loop, so you can safely hang it from either top or bottom. This fascinating piece is priced at less than half what's being asked elsewhere for comparable items, and there's no charge for giftwrap and insured U.S. shipping.
