Up for auction is a unique antique Ersari Turkoman "Kejebe" design wedding trapping long Torba, Southeast Turkmenistan, circa 1900. This rare item has beautiful colors including a deep madder red and and striking whites This piece has 100% natural dyes and has no color run, tip fading, moth damage, holes or rips. It even has most of its original fringe embellishments. These types of wedding trappings never had backs on them inasmuch as they were woven for decorating the bridal litter atop the lead camel. Then they were used as decorations for hanging inside the newlywed's new yurt. Excellent overall condition. Very plush textile relic. the exact size is 52" by 16" (132cm by 42cm).
