This great piece of redware pottery wasproduced in the early days of Turtle Creek Pottery in 1986. This vase is alovely country piece of decorated Redware Pottery, hand thrown and hand decorated. It stands 9” tall with a lovely scalloped top rim. The sgraffito design features a central open flower with hearts on the stem and is surrounded on both sides by a curved leafy branch decorated in green. The artist whose signature is on the base is Gary Simendinger. It was hand thrown and is marked with JC, the potter’s initials for Joyce Clancy. Also on the base is “Turtle Creek Pottery, 1986”.
