You are viewing an exceptionally RARE 1948 Stromberg Carlson Television. Take note in the unique 10" ROUND screen- the most sought after tabletop or console model 60 years later!! Ahead of its time? You bet! Stromberg Carlson was thee premiere high end brand of its day. With its striking original mahogany case, this console model adds conversation to ANY room it is chosen for. I purchased this for $300 some 30 years ago, sunk $317.00 in to it, and recently enjoyed it as a display piece in my home. The sound works well and the black & white picture is viewable, but does require some tweaking to get it crystal clear. I have included the boxes from some service I had a professional perform on it 20 years ago. These boxes alone would make for a great display. I would have taken it for screen adjustment to the same gentleman, however, he has since passed. Perhaps you know of someone in your area to service a clear picture. I am simply too old and out of resources for this process. When gasoline & the minimum wage was almost one in the same at 26 cents a gallon and 40 cents per hour, Stromberg Carlson made this incredibly enjoyable television set for the family.
