*TWO VINTAGE LEATHER BOOK COVERS* Up for auction are 2 vintage tooled leather book covers. Book Cover 1 : The front pattern is a beautiful gold circle square design with a vibrant red star in the center. The pattern is exquisite, the border is a 4 level gold outline. The back is just plain beautiful leather. The leather is a supple emerald green. It measures approx 19" w. (when cover is open) and 12.25 " h. The emerald green leather has faded on the edges and spine. The lining is also leather which is the original emerald green color. Leather and interior in exceptional condition. Minor wear on spine, minimal scratches. Overall in great shape. Book Cover 2 : The front pattern is very ornate with gorgeous leatherwork of fans, flowers and scrolls in tan, dark green and brown colors. The back pattern is a repetitive scroll pattern in dark brown. The lining is also dark brown with some tears in the spine area. This book cover measures 12.5" w. (when cover is open) and 8.5 " h. Leather lacing is in good shape except for the top and bottom spine area w the lace is broken, this could be repaired. The spine shows wear and loss of color. It is a stamped or impressed with "Made in Italy " on the inside left corner. They are both beautiful pieces of leather work!Email with questions. Thank you kindly!
