Up for auction are two rare lanterns that I acquired at an estate sale. They are probably from the 1920's or before and ready to link up with a good collector! S.G. & L.C. (SteamGauge & Lantern Co.) 13 1/2 inches, plus the bail Painted, a little bit of rust, but the metal is in good condition Bottom stamp "Ask for Standard Tubular Lamps & Lanterns Syracuse NY Chicago IL Steamgauge & Lantern Co." Bottom stamp is in great condition and shows how good the metal is On the tank "Side Lift No. 0" lantern is as pictured, incomplete (no globe, no tank cap) Buhl No. 275 15 1/4 inches, plus bail surface rust (see photos) Incomplete, as pictured (no globe, cap missing) Tiny hole in the tank Both of these lanterns are OLD, RARE, and of collectible quality! They just need someone who can supply them with missing parts and give them new life! You won't find many of these around! Study the photos and description carefully.
