This listing and all of my current listings are from a woman who made and collected clothing for over 50 years. Fortunately she labeled and dated a lot of her material. These two pieces are "wedding dress and bridesmaid dress hems" with vintage lace and silk. They are from a wedding that took place in 1898. The first panel is a long panel and is 156" long. The second panel is 47" circm. and so it 94" long. Both panels are approximately 9.5" wide. Both panels are identical in design. Starting at the top is fine white/cream silk with three rows of hand-stitched pleats. Directly below the pleats start the wide panel of lace. This panel is approximately 6" wide and runs the entire length of the panel. All stitching is hand-stitches. Just below the panel of lace is a two inch wide panel of silk satin with a fine perforated line in the fabric. The panels were obviously used at one time (1898) but are in very good, if not mint, condition. The 20 feet in the listing is the total length of both panels added together. T are no apparent flaws or major holes in the pieces.
