Typewriter SMITH CORONA Art Deco STERLING 1940s Vintage This is a very old manual, portable typewriter from L. C. Smith & Corona Typewriter Co. (prior to their taking on the name of Smith Corona). The case of the typewriter is metal and colored a matte black with Art Deco designs (lines). Keys are black, rimmed in metal with white letters. Serial # 4A257654. Typewriter is very clean and works just fine. It is their Sterling Model. It is in good, vintage condition. One scuff mark across the front (see photo). Case is wooden which is clad in black leattte. Case is in very good condition. The case measures approx. 13 inches square and 5 1⁄2 inches deep with a hard plastic handle and silver snap lock (no key). Old typewriter accessories included (see photo) This was my grandmotherâe(tm)s typewriter, so it has only had one owner.
