Check this out. I know nothing about saddles but what I can gather is that this is a McClellan Artillery saddle from either Spanish American War or WW1. It is a 11 1/2" size. Has brass tag & all 4 rings. It does have some condition issues. Seams are coming apart on bottom w stitching is. It also has H.N.M. stamped on the side.This also comes with the 2 saddle bags. They are both stamped on back with a horseshoe with a CA in the middle. Top of shoe says Paris. Underneath says Leon Braun 24.r Chateau-Landon. Only 1 bag has the stamping U.S. along with F.A.S.F.E.S. & in the circle G.M.I.D. Jeff-192D J.A.S. Also has some stitching coming apart on one side. Still has original burlap on inside.These items are far from mint condition but they are not junk either. They are a piece of American history. If you collect military items or just a horse lover, this is a great bunch of items to own. This would also make a great Christmas present for that special someone.I am selling a lot of stuff this week for a friend. Check out my other auctions.
