This auction features a standard size chrome postcard titled: U.S. Coast Guard Number 4924. The descriptive paragraph reads: "U.S. Coast Guard Locomotive Number 4924 is viewed on July 1, 1979, one day before her Official Launching, while sitting on the Central Vermont turntable at New London, Connecticut. This U.S. Coast Guard paint scheme was made possible through the courtesy of the Central Vermont Railway, the actual owner of Locomotive Number 4924." This postcard was published by Mary Jayne's Railroad Specialties, Inc., and printed by Alleghany Publishers of Covington, Virginia.It is in excellent condition with only minor corner wear.
