U.S. MODEL 1816 HARPERS FERRY MUSKET LOCK you have a US stamped with eagle, and stamped on tang HARPERS FERRY 1834, original U.S. Model 1816 musket lock. Lock is all in very good shape with all original parts with (exception of tang is broken off the sear,which trigger trips. Also small hairline crack above bridle pin hole.Still very solid around pin,may have been t 100 years). Included are two reproduction sideplate screws,from Dixie Gun Works. The hammer on lock is for the nipple directly in the barrel conversion. Mainspring looks excellent. I have had this lock for years and the repro. sideplate screws I got years ago too.
