This is your opportunity to own thismilitary prismatic Azimuth reader. This instrument is used inconjunction with a ships compass and is normally on a ships binnacle. You place the reader on top of the compass and after lining it up you can take a very precise compass bearing. It is made from metal. Inside the lid of the box are full instructions on how it is used. It comes in a nice fitted mahogany box which has been fitted out to take the Azimuth Circle / reader. These delightful instruments are very interesting and are getting harder and harder to find!!!
This is made by The Lionel Corporation Ny, NY for the Bureau of Ships under contract 33431 This is a lovely piece of Naval history, and could be used with a Navy Compass. Shipping will be by Priority Mail.
