Fasinating, unique, figurines, made by employees at the U.S. Parkersbury Quarry Tile Company, over 55 to 65 years ago. Employees would take the clay that they used to make bricks, etc., and make animal figurines to sell for extra money. Some were very LARGE, and some were like the ones that I am offering today, which are small. I have 3 figurines of a squirrel, "angry" cat, and a wonderful Owl. All animals are uniquely designed. I also have a newspaper clipping from that era of the employees. I also have a black and white picture of some of the employees. These characters were made during the employees lunch break or whenever they had "down time". Something unique to bid on today. The animals are really unique and amazingly, they all look like the animal that they meant to make, including wonderful eyes and markings of hair, etc.
