This is a great example of a Vietnam era Infantry Helmet. The steel shell is a late 1950's or early 1960's rear seam swivel bale with the original sand textured green paint, and it has no dents or cracks or rust, just some colored marks that look like crayon. I think you could hit it with a hair dryer and those marks would come off easily. The chinstrap has blackened steel hardware with rounded ends on the end clip. The liner has a Westinghouse stamp in the crown and the strap is marked 17 Dec 65, DSA. It has its original paint in very good condition with typical light scuffing. T are no cracks or tears in the shell or webbing. The leather headband is marked DSA, another 1965/66 contract. The leaf pattern cover looks unissued but has some spotting on it from storage and one small hole on one of the flaps that isn't visible when displayed. It has a 1970 contract date. Great example to add to your collection! Thanks for looking, and don't forget to check out my other auctions for more interesting helmets and military items! Please note:I will not end auctions early to sell off ebay, so please don't ask.I will not falsify your customs forms and invoice. I don't have time to create new invoices for every other package that I send out. Please factor your customs fees into your bid. Please use the shipping calcualtor at the bottom of the page. I am not trying to make a fortune on the shipping, just trying to estimate it as close as I can. If it seems high to you, it will to everyone else too. Please factor that into your bid. Thanks!
