This is a stunning and mega rare Caithness Salamander paperweight made in 1978. The paperweight is a limited edition of 50 (marked no 35), and has the 78 date in the base. It is clearly signed by the designer: Colin Terris, and the actual maker: William Manson. The weight features a superb lampwork Salamander on a rocky desert style ground. It has a large angled facet to view through, and clever matt moulded sides to the weight to give extra effect to the subject. The weight is quite large and measures 3" diameter and 2.75" in height. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or fleabites. This weight was £200 to buy in 1978 and books at £700. I have set my BIN at just over half of this and will consider sensible offers - Overseas bidders are welcome - please ask for a shipping quote (signed for airmail).
