History of this piece: This wonderful lady is made by the Ucagco (United China and Glass Company) after World War ll in the 1950's. Many other companies have produced these lovely ceramic head vases but by the 1970's the head vase fad had run it's course and demand decreased to the point that most companies stopped producing these pieces altogether. This is why this vase head is so special. Out of production for sure. To me she looks like a high society female of the time. Description: She stands 6" tall x 4" wide. She has a slight curl to her blonde layered short hair style with divided bangs. Nice dark eyebrows with very long set eyelashes. Her lipstick is a bright red. Her outfit is done with an oval shaped top that has a ring of gold around it. Lusterware on the bottom with a very nice light yellow/white rose with a light green leaf under it. Her hat is done in white with gold specks and a ring of gold. She is just gorgeous ! Her flaws: At the back on her bottom is a little finger nail size wearing of her lusterware that looks to be repaired. See pic #8 Her bottom lip right has a couple of flea bites of missing lip stick. See pic #5 Her right eyelash feels a little rough at the tip in one spot to me. Inside head has a lot of water stains. I don't know how to clean it without damaging her so I'll leave that up to you. read more
