The bigger the kit, the more parts, the better. And while we can't afford the stellar pricing of many retired LEGO kits on auction sites, we don't see any reason why we, and YOU, shouldn't be able buy and build some of the most exciting kits ever designed.So we created this service/product to help LEGO enthusiasts who have to watch their budget, yet want to experience the satisfaction of building something truly remarkable.Starting with The SMUGGLER™, we are introducing our first "consignment" product: the parts necessary to build Model 10179 - The Millennium Falcon™, the second-largest retail kit ever created by the LEGO Group.There is something very special about opening a brand new box of LEGO parts and seeing them shine, bright and polished. We get that.So when we decided to offer a service providing LEGO parts to customers who expect the quality of LEGO products, we kept this at the forefront of our minds.All of the parts in ucREPLICAS kits are therefore meticulously inspected, whether brand new or very-lightly used, and are added only if they live up to our standards of high quality.This kit does NOT include mini-figures or stickers.With the constant fluctuation of pricing on LEGO parts in the after-market, we are continually researching alternate-but-close color substitutions that can be made in parts that will retain all of the structural integrity of the kit, while not altering the external appearance of the model.With this in mind, while approximately 95% of the parts used on each ucREPLICAS kit will be identical to the original product released by the manufacturer, each kit has the potential of being unique as we hand-pick the parts used to fulfill each order.This particular kit employs a small percentage of color-replacement parts. Almost all of the color-replacement parts are on the interior of the model. The only parts visible that are of a different color are the pair of shrouds, which are black on this particular kit (these can be painted for the buyer prior to shipping if that is their wish), and the reflector parabolics on the top/back of the ship (normally black, but we use a dark grey variant).This kit also employs a "three-part" solution to the new dark red 6x14 piece originally offered with the kit. With the three plates placed in order (4x6, 2x6, 6x8), all pieces are affixed to the rest of the structure by at least two other parts -- in most cases, three, so it's quite stable and doesn't detract from the aesthetics.These are all official LEGO parts. We buy all of our parts from recognized vendors with high feedback ratings from their respective associations. NEW parts are purchased whenever possible (this particular kit is 99% new parts). When the parts are a little more difficult to find, we will purchase USED parts, but before they go in a SMUGGLER kit, they have to meet our high quality standards.
