DEAR BUYERS , Height of this egg - 2.16" I present to you a real handmade CHICKEN EGG pysanka (100% handmade).I am the creator and designer of this pysanka. My name is Oleh. To make it I used the traditional wax resist technique ( "batik"). All of my Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) are handmade . I used traditional traditional elements for creating my pysanky. Also my style is influenced by creativity of mine of the old Ukrainian artists, which creativity we name "naive art". One of such artists is my mother. By the way, in the middle of 1980 my mother has began to teach me creation of eggs. But only in the early 1990 I have created the first qualitative pysanka. So my family has created pysanky for many generations. We maintain the traditions of our ancestors, searching out old, traditional designs, as well as creating new ones. The inside of the egg has been carefully washed out, and the egg has been thermally processed. And all of the pysanky have been given a protective coat of varnish. You can find other pysanky, as well as traditional Ukrainian shirts/blouses in my eBay-store. The majority of these blouses and costume has been created by my wife and her sister. P.S.- dear buyer, Here I have placed images of the ancient eggs collected by me during my ethnographic expeditions. On these eggs you see ancient symbols which were transferred from generation to generation throughout tens centuries. Some symbols have appeared more 4-5 thousand years ago. I ask you to pay attention that I do not assert that I have found out for the first time this or that egg. Also I do not assert that I am the ingenious ethnographer. I have only executed then the civic duty. By means of this collection I have fixed that fact that in 1994-2004 in territory of Pokuttja pysanky with absolutely ancient symbols were still created. But, nevertheless, I am assured that more than half of these eggs were not fixed other researchers. I am grateful to my wife that she did not interfere with my ethnographic expeditions. In those days I spent last money for this big case, but my wife every possible way supported me. Also I had one sponsor who financed my some trips to some regions Pokuttja. Thanks for him! Pysanky artists did not remember the name of many eggs, therefore I have not written these names.
