Ultra Rare Bakersfield (Shark Tooth Hill) Megalodon Shark Tooth Don't miss out on this great opportunity to own a prized collectors piece that will hold its value indefinitely! Make sure to use the zoom to see all the great details this tooth has to offer!!! BEFORE BIDDING - Please consider the very reasonable "Buy it Now" option. This tooth could easily go for far more than the asking price. IF you choose to bid, I have a lot invested in this tooth so please BID TO WIN ! Perhaps the best feature of this tooth is that I am letting it go for a NO RESERVE auction...I must be crazy. Some of you out there are probably asking yourself "didn't I see that tooth not to long ago?" The answer is yes - you did. I need to sell this tooth due to some recent personal events. It absolutely pains me to even place this listing because I enjoy looking at this Meg in my display cabinet every time I walk past it. I literally find myself staring at this tooth from time to time. Please don't judge. But enough about me - on to the business. This is a museum quality meg tooth from Bakersfield, CA (Shark Tooth Hill) . For those of you just getting into collecting sharks teeth, chances are this will not be the tooth for you. Not saying you wouldn't be smart to bid on it...just saying that I understand if this tooth doesn't interest you. But, I have to admit this does make a great display piece for any collection. For those of you who have been collecting for some time now and know your stuff than this tooth should really interest you. There was only a handfull of locations in Bakersfield that produced these Megs and one was on private land and that particular individual has since passed away. What does that mean? It means you are NOT going to see many new fresh finds out of Bakersfield. These teeth will do nothing but keep on climbing away and away in price and rarity. This tooth is in a natural piece of matrix...meaning this is the way it was found...NOT placed into the matrix for display. Believe it or not, teeth like this in their natural matrix that display nicely can actually be worth more than free standing teeth. Why? Because these are more rare than free standing teeth. This tooth has a little piece of bone next to it and sits on the natural matrix perfectly, meaning it sits just about straight up and down...not leaning to one side or the other and not on its back. I had this piece in my display with a couple other pieces from other locations and this was probably the best natural upright display piece. It sits just like in the pictures. This is one of the ONLY Bakersfield Megalodon tooth that you will see on Ebay of this quality and size. I always hope to see more....but I don't expect to for the reasons stated above. Your only choice now, for both you and I, is to sit around and wait for someone who has previously collected and purchased a tooth from this location to resell it. Pretty dome and gloom outlook for obtaining teeth from this location. Measurements below are of the tooth only - I didn't measure the matrix but you should be able to get a idea of its size from the pictures. This tooth is also 100% Natural with zero repair or restoration. Size: Length 4.80 inches Width 3.68 inches Thank you for looking and
