In Japanese and English text, with an in-depth interview of Martin by the author of the book, Manek Daver. 160 pages. Softbound. 9" x 12". This beautiful rare book is hardly listed, and when it is it sells quickly. Using a fluid, impressionistic style that perfectly echoed the jazz albums his artwork adorned, David Stone Martin produced a wealth of images for various labels. His longest and most prolific working relationship was with Norman Granz, who showcased Martin's art through the Clef, Norgran, and Verve record labels. His influence can be seen throughout the world of album cover graphics.
