m e Hi all, make sure to check out our other auctions and ! If you have any questions about the item, or even fossils or minerals in general, please don't hesitate to email us at: Ari@ This tooth has absolutely no repair or restoration, in fact, we do not buy or sell repaired or restored teeth. ______________________________________ ______________________________________ C. Megalodon, Fossil Shark Tooth Miocene, approx. 6-10 million years old Ashepoo River, SC , USA 5.63" x 4.38" wide (Superbly formed, extremely rare colored anterior, of Chub age, with Chub features, from the Ashepoo) _______________________________________________ Description This massive and rare Meg comes from the famous Ashepoo River in SC, the vast, vast, did I mention vast , majority of Ashepoo teeth are, what's the technical term, oh yes, butt ugly. :) But, once in a very long while, you get a good one, and this one isn't merely good, it is just phenomenal . First, it is absolutely gigantic, not just in length, but in width and thickness, it is an incredibly robust and just perfectly formed anterior. The shape of the crown is what we all dream of, symmetrical, yet curvy, terminating in a super pointy tip, the root is just ridiculous in its form, I took a few angled shots to try to convey just how plain cool this root is, so 3 dimensional and so Chub-like, particularly with those super well developed ears. The other telltale feature that shows the tooth's miocene, Chub age DNA, are the very jagged, very large and irregular serrations, which by the way are razor sharp, with virtually NO damage. Obviously there are no real cusps, so I will not call it a Chub, but, the tooth looks to me to definitely be from the Chub/miocene age, which makes its size even more impressive. These older Miocene Megs rarely got this large. Now, if this tooth had merely typical gray enamel, it would still be a total killer, due to the form, that crazy root, the size, age and locality, but here's where this Meg really becomes extraordinary, the colors both front and rear are just off the charts . You have lots of bright, clear pictures to show you just how remarkable the colors and enamel are on this giant Ashepoo. To have a nearly flawless, giant Ashepoo with world-class form is already near impossible, but to then, have this same killer tooth come with colors and enamel any Lee Creek or Bone Valley would be proud to have, well, you make up your own mind, is this the finest, rarest example of an Ashepoo Meg you've seen? It's up to you, for me, I think it just might be. Priced accordingly, but fairly, and absolutely worth it, if you want one of, if not the best 100% natural Ashepoo Megs available. I fell in love with this totally unique blue/white swirled, spotted and marbled Meg the minute I saw it, and I guarantee, you will too, or all your money back, no hassles or hard feelings, including all shipping costs coming and going, so, it costs you not a cent to check it out in person to judge for yourself. I'm confident you'll love it, as I have since acquiring it a while ago. It really is like no other Meg I have ever seen or owned. As always, you are absolutely free to return it for any reason (including your spouse found out. :) ) for a full, hassle free refund, including full reimbursement of the cost of the return shipping, I honestly can't see that happening here, but it's nice to know, the fact is, when you buy from us, you have literally nothing to lose, you never risk anything when you buy from TheFossilGallery, except perhaps making your shark tooth collecting friends very jealous, we have been selling the world's finest, rarest fossil teeth for over 10 years now on Ebay without a single problem, we don't sell the most teeth, just consistantly the best, and for more than 10 years now! The best teeth, with the best customer service, that's TheFossilGallery. Thanks for looking! If you have any questions about this tooth I h...
