Super Rare Komatsu Spy Tape Phonetta Telephone Recorder
is an incredibly rare spy tape recorder made by Komatsu of Japan. Unit appears to be late 50s or 60s. Comes in original prisitine hard case with neat storage compartment at rear. The meter is marked with a scale for "tuning" and t is a wire lead in the rear compartment, perhaps for receiving a signal from a listening device? Storage compartment contains power cord and original Komatsu stand up microphone. Has level meter and "endless" continuous tape. Push buttons are Play, Start and Tung (which stands for tuning?)button. Tape start momentary button. 5 very small screws on top plastic covers are sheared, but covers are still like new Good fuse. Motor Works and tape runs. Made for external speaker, has long small lead in compartment which may be for earphone use.
