You are bidding on a commemorative coin set from the 1976 Olympics: Uncirculated Olympic Coins1976 MontrealSeries III Early Canadian Sports The package includes 2 x $5 coins and 2 x $10 coins welded in crystal styrene, a sheet describing each coin in English and in French, and a case. Information on the coins: Uncirculated coins are struck from Sterling Silver blanks by the Royal Canadian Mint. Encapsulated in ultrasonically welded crystal styrene and packaged in mint condition. They have never been in circulation. Under the Olympic 1976 Act the number of coins minted in this series is limited. They will no be minted again. Each coin contains 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper alloy. The $5 coins are 38mm in diameter with a fine silver content of 0.72 Troy oz. The $10 coins are 45 mm in diameter with a fine silver content of 1.44 Troy oz.
