Unger Schneider Girl & Boy figurines done in Bisque. They both stand 14" inches tall!! Good size with lots of detail to them. At first I thought they were made by Heubach. But I sent a picture to another dealer who's familiar with Heubach. She said they were made by Unger Schneider Co., who were a rival of Heubach. From the research I have done this company started in 1886. I'm not sure how old these figurines are, but they are exquisitely detailed! There are no markings on them, except for a mold number which is located at the base of the girl. The # is 960. Both the girl and boy are in great condition. There are only two flaws I have noticed: The boy's pinkie finger on his right hand is slightly chipped. It's extremely hard to see because it's hidden behind the water flask he's carrying. Now, the girl has a fine hairline crack (about 2" long), but it's located on the middle of her back. Can't be seen when displayed on a shelf. They really are a cute pair! The girl is holding a little puppy dog, and the boy has a walking cane and water flask. Looks like they are ready for a long stroll together underneath a canopy of trees...
