This fine Unger Bros. piece should have appeal to a wide range of collectors - from sterling silver novelties to golf to African Americana. This deep relief repousse pin tray or dish is 5" in diameter, and in wonderful condition, with no damage such as dents, dings, significant scratches, pitting or holes. The Unger Bros. mark is shown clearly on the reverse side. I've seen this motif in other Unger Bros. pieces, and seen them sell for over $700 (my reserve is significantly below that), but have never seen another one like this. The detail is wonderful - you can see the grass, a walking path, the pin and flag, trees and a split-rail fence and clouds in the background I've been an avid Unger Bros. collector for over 6 years, but have decided to let a few pieces go on to another appreciative collector. The Unger Bros. company out of Newark New Jersey has a wonderful and interesting history - beginning in the 1870s and stretching to the early 1920s. While not as well known, I believe their work is on par with some of the better known houses such as Tiffany and Gorham. Please feel free to e-mail any and all questions - I'm happy to help out in any way I can. Otherwise, please view all of the detailed photographs to help appreciate the depth of relief and beautiful design. Paypal payment is preferred, and expected within 3 days of auction end. Checks or money orders accepted but may need to clear before shipment. Shipping and insurance (required) via USPS Priority Mail is $12. For international shipping consideration, please e-mail me. Please see my other fine Unger Bros. listings on eBay.
