we have a Union Mfg Co X plane in the #5 jack size which was once owned by some villiage idiot who loved his black spray paint. Rear tote has a glued repair, front wood knob has a chip on the base. Did I mention this idiot painted the base and cap? BUT, if you overlook the paint, what you have is a very nice X plane which measures approx 14"long with a correct cutter approx 2"wide. If I didn't already have a nice X5 in my collection, I would strip it and have a friend put a new Japaning finish on it. Because t are no cracks or damage to the casting, once the finish has been taken care of you should have a beautiful X plane. Black paint..Sheeeeeeeee.....Sold EXACTLY as found.
