UNION PACIFIC '97 A&W OVERLAND LOGO CAST GLOBE LANTERN. Many of us come to that point w we run out of space. I have hit that point and need to downsize a few pieces from off of the shelf in my collection and hopefully to a new home. The frame itself is in good, original condition and has not been bead-blasted, marked on the shoulder in large letters, "UNION PACIFIC" and has a last patent date of 1897. This version frame is the large letter, true 1897 with large insert pot compared to the smaller letter Union Pacific drop-in pot. T are no holes, major dents, or damage to the frame. T are some areas of pitting, namely on the shoulder and the pot, and a small repair on the dome (all visible in picture), but overall is still a solid frame. The lantern comes with the correct pot that removes freely and functions perfectly, still with wick in tact, wick adjuster marked "Patd Appld. For". The globe itself is a beauty, matching tall Corning style, 5 3/8" clear cast, "UNION PACIFIC" over the famous "The Overland Route" logo. It is in very good shape with no cracks or chips, only a couple very small flea bites that are all no shows when placed inside the frame. Overall, this would make a nice set for the dedicated Union Pacific collector, or if you are a fan of one of the most popular western roads still to this date. Money orders, cashiers
