Magnificent Oyster plate made by Union Porcelain Works of Greenpoint NY with a patent date of February 4th 1879. Inherited by my girlfriend from a friend's mother. Most of the plates were… well ok. But, this one…. wow!!! Approximately 9.25" in diameter and heavy! Plate has NO chips, cracks or damage. Very faint wear to lustre paint along edges and to the pinstriping. Beautiful handpainted details.
