This is a unique fully crew signed copy (number 1 of 10 flown) of the extremely rare official British Airways cover issued for the Mexico City-Barbados eighth stage of the 1987 Concorde World Air Cruise. It was flown on Concorde G-BOAF from Mexico City to Barbados on 21 March 1987 and was posted on arrival in Barbados – the Barbados postage stamp is cancelled with a Barbados postal handstamp. Basic flight details appear on the front of the cover, which is certified flown and numbered 1 of 10 flown on the reverse. The cover is presented with an “Around the World in 18 Days” paper insert providing full flight details of the Mexico City-Barbados stage. THIS UNIQUE COPY OF THE COVER IS SIGNED BY THE FULL CREW – CAPTAIN JOHN CHORLEY, CO-PILOT KEITH WILLIAMS & FLIGHT ENGINEER TOM DEWIS. ( NB Not all of the covers were received back by the addressees in the mail, so the number of unsigned covers in existence is less than 10 – but 10 were flown and posted on arrival ).
