"Report To The President Of The United States On The Proposed Landscape Improvements For The Executive Mansion Grounds" (By Lorenzo S. Winslow, Architect of the White House) Washington, DC: Federal Works Agency/ Public Buildings Administration, nd (circa 1940's?). A large comb-bound, gilt titled hardcover book. Measures 19-1/2 x 16-1/2 inches. Either an extremely limited printing or possible unique proposal submitted by the Architect of the White House office during the FDR or Truman administrations. No other copies located in any collections, no mention of it via google search. Unpaginated, (front and rear blank end pages + 8 leaves (16 pages), each comprised of 2 photographic paper sheets pasted together). With 16 numbered illustrations of watercolors, photographs, etc., plus text, all printed photographically. I nscribed (by? for?) Architect of the White House, Lorenzo S. Winslow ; additionally annotated and apparently initialed by Winslow in one passage. Tape remains to front pastedown, otherwise in very good overall condition with no institutional markings.
