UNIQUE GORGEOUS OLD BRASS MIRRORED HAL L TREE
~FOR LOCAL PICKUP IN ORANGE COUNTY CALIFORNIA~ THIS OUTSTANDING PIECE IS ONE OF A KIND If you savor owning things nobody else has, or ever will have, THIS IS FOR YOU! You will never see another like it.. They just don’t make things like this anymore. It is quite an imposing piece that will add elegance and beauty to your home or office. It’s very presence commands attention and admiration. It makes a strong statement and a wonderful first impression! History ~ I acquired this magnificent piece 30+ years ago from a small Antique Shop in Historic Nevada City, California. (GOLD Country) It was stated to be American made and quite old when I purchased it. It came to the Antique shop from the estate of the long departed town Physician. I have no way to determine it’s exact age since I have no expertise in antiques. Description and measurements ~ Estimated weight 120 to 150 pounds. Stands 81” high X 36” wide X 12” deep. The 2 brass shelves are each 12” X 36”- The heavy footed brass uprights are all 2 ¼” in diameter. The sturdy beveled glass mirror is 44 ½” high X 27 ½” wide. The 4 brass coat & hat hangers are 6” high. There are 5 candelabra type lights that cascade over the top. There are 5 fluted multicolor glass globes that beautifully accent the piece with a warm glow when lighted. The piece is ROCK SOLID and in outstanding condition. It is made of HEAVY BRASS throughout. The shelves are sheet brass and expertly crafted. It has a flawless beveled mirror and a series of 5 lights on top, with beautiful fluted multi colored glass globes that are also flawless. (Bulbs are included) The lights are suspended individually by a series of 5 ornate tubular brass holders. These are adjustable for your lighting preference. No wires are visible of exposed and the lights and dimmer work perfectly. Condition Details ~ As you would expect from age, it has some tarnish, mostly on the shelves which definitely show their age. But being brass, it should polish out if that’s your preference. I was advised never to clean it, since the old patina is highly desirable, but that will be up to the new owners preference. The mirror is flawless and encased in brass- There are no scratches, cracks or loss of reflection.. There is no fading or loss of quicksilver. The light globes, while very delicate, are in perfect condition. It appears the original wiring was all replaced. (Probably for safety considerations) A “modern” dimmer switch was added to allow for ambient “mood” lighting, which is stunning as it reflects off the mirror and brass! Everything else is ORIGINNAL. For sure I can tell you, this is NOT “ordinary”!! I’m sure you will agree when you see all the pictures. It looks much better in person. You will be the ONLY one to display a fantastic and unique piece like this. It is a BEAUTIFUL work or art that will endure the passage of time for generations to come. (It may even have some historic value.) The bidding will start at what I paid for it 30+ years ago.
