ITEM DESCRIPTION Up for your consideration is an interesting metamorphic chair, that converts to a ladder, circa 1920s. The piece is made of dark-stained oak, and I believe was used in a large home library. It is fully functional, and in very good condition. I tested the ladder, and it supported my weight of 160 lbs., but I would not put any more weight on it. One excellent use for this piece would be as some type of display when in the ladder configuaration. B. SIZE/DIMENSIONS In the ladder configuration, the piece measures 36" tall, and 15" wide. In the chair configuation, it is 36" high, 14" deep, and 15" wide. C. CONDITION The condition of this piece is very good throughout. The main concern is that the right side (as you face it), is bent about 5 degrees inward. This is also apparent in the ladder configuration. Also, t are some 2-3" cracks on the very front of the chair, likely resulting from some nails that have been added from an old repair. I took the piece apart, and reglued that area, and it is structurally solid. The cracks have no effect on the structural integrity or functionality of the piece. I consider the pictures provided as an integral part of the condition report, so please examine them carefully. D. SHIPPING COSTS/TERMS THIS ITEM SHIPS GREYHOUND FOR $75.00 Greyhound is a reasonably fast & reliable service that is the most economical means possible for items of this size. Usually, it will take about 14 days for the item to arrive at your local Greyhound terminal. Greyhound will call you when your piece is available for pick-up, so please provide me with your phone number along when paying. ITEM INSPECTION/RETURN POLICY RETURN/REFUND POLICY: We offer a full refund policy, but we must be contacted through eBay within 3 days after receiving the item. If a refund is requested, the buyer is to pay shipping both ways. The refund will be made once the item is back in our possession, and that it arrives in the same condition that it was sent.
