Up for Auction is this Stanwell Prestige 3 B Estate Pipe. The nomenclature on the pipe reads: Stanwell Reg d No. 969-48 Prestige Made in Denmark B. However the B Stamp by the other nomenclature is backwards. Also on the bottom of the shank there is another backward B follwed by a regular B. The stampings on the pipe are still legible. This pipe is a Danish Freehand shape and features Excellent Straight grains around the bowl's finishwith some very nice Flame grains on the shank. The stem is in Great condition. The pipe measures about 6.75 inches long from the tip of the stem to the end of the bowl, with a bowl height of about 2.25 inches at the tallest point. The outer diameter of the bowl is about 1 and 7/8 inches wide from side to side and 2 inches wide from front to back at the top, and the inner diameter is about 1 and 1/16 inch wide at the top. This pipe cleaned up very well and the previous owner took very good care of it. The bowl itself is still in Great condition. Overall this is a Beautiful pipe that is in Great shape. This is a very attractive piece and would make an excellent addition to anyone's collection. Also this pipe comes with a Black Stanwell pipe bag, though not pictured.
