This is a Vintage Norway Oseberg Pewter Cake Server in it's original box. The box says "AS Form Tinn - Tynset Norw. - Art. nr. 13 - Cake Server "Oseberg" - Hand Cast Pewter - Norway". The back handle is stamped "Oseberg - Funnet - Anno 800". The back of the server part is stamped "Norway - St. Steel - 18/8". Although I am not a complete expert in Norway pewter, I would say that the cake server is in pretty good to fairly pretty good vintage condition. It shows somewhat of use, but not overly used/abused. It has some scratches on both the server part and handle, but they are not too distracting from the overall look - would consider typical wear over time. T are also some dried water marks, and some dirt/film. The box has some bit of wear. The box is in three parts - the top plastic lid, the green velvet like form that the cake server lays in and the bottom box part. The bottom part of the box is green cardboard like material with lizard scale texture. The top plastic lid has some dings, some creases, some scratches, some scuffs, some dingyness, warping and some of the corners have come apart at the seams.
