UnitedConfederate Veterans 32 nd Reunion Richmond VA1922 For Auction is a Genuine Piece of Civil War History. This pin measures 1 ¾” wide and is 2 ¾” top to bottom. It is stamped Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark NJ on both the top and bottom pieces. Strange that they buy from a NJ company but years later things may have changed with these veterans. The top piece of this pin reads Richmond Virginia and that is Gen. Jackson as depicted in the statue that is at the intersection of the Boulevard and Monument Avenues in Richmond . The bottom section reads United Confederate Veterans and has an image of the White House of the Confederacy located in Richmond . Below that is an image of the Confederate Memorial Institute (now known as the Virginia Historical Society). Across the bottom reads 32 nd Reunion - June 1922. Only one of these pins shows in the eBay completed sales section and it sold for $175 in Sept 2012 without bidding. OK I tried this once with a starting price of $150 and it did not sell but it had a tremendous amount of views and lots of watchers. I really did not want to let this go for cheap as the 150th anniversary of the Civil War is presently going on and I should be able to take this to one of the many functions here in Richmond and sell it.
